Yes, the stall’s name does have “Toa Payoh in it, but it canbe found in Tiong Bahru Hawker Centre. The business has been around since 1976 and specialises in as its name says — fishball minced meat noodles.

So, here, you can expect an array of dishes such as Handmade Minced Meatball Noodle, Fishball Minced Meat Noodle, Fishball Minced Meat Mee Sua and Fishball Soup. However, they also have other options like Laksa and Pork Rib Noodles for those looking for something a little more different! Like many other minced meat noodle stalls in Singapore, you can pick and choose the type of noodles you like ranging from mee pok to kway teow to bee hoon.

While they sell fishball and minced meat noodles, I was curious to see how theirk Pork Rib Noodles fared. This came with chunk pieces of porb ribs and springy noodles tossed in a savoury sauce. The noodles were delightfully springy and chewy and the pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. The sauce was a little on the saltier side for me but other than that, it was very flavourful. Am curious to see how they fishball noodles are so i’ll probably get that next time!

Something random that I also appreciate — they have a utensil santising machine that helps to clean your chopsticks! Very innovative and good since we are living in the midst of a pandemic.
