There are multiple bak chor mee spots in Tiong Bahru and this is one of the more underrated ones.

Tiong Bahru Bak Chor Mee is located in Tiong Bahru Market and Food Centre and specialises in, as its name says, bak chor mee.

They've been around for around a decade and the simple menu doesn't just have the usual bak chor mee, but also abalone mee, homemade meatball soup and kway teow soup. You can also add on additional noodles for $1!

There is rarely a queue so you also don't need to wait too long for your food!

When I reached the stall at around 2pm in the afternoon, they were thankfully still open.

I ordered myself a bowl of their bak chor mee. It was a simple dish but had all the components of a good bak chor mee such as springy egg noodles, minced meat, mushrooms and spring onions.

Food here is also relatively cheap, especially with inflation. Good for a quick meal! Next time, I want to bougee it up a little and try their abalone mee.
