Winning the Michelin Guide in 2019, this stall has been opened since 1988. A Tiong Bahru kid by blood - the owner Cheong Weng Wah decided to open shop after finishing NS and being inspired by his friend who taught him the basics of cooking the dish.

Long queue

Upon receiving the dish, by appearance it was a sizeable portion ($3 for a small), so it is definitely a bang-for-your-buck. The rice was mildly flavourful and moist which I enjoyed, along with the roasted chicken meat which was abundant in portion - although I did find a bit dry... My favourite was definitely the chilli sauce served on the side, which was a blend of ginger and super spicy chilli, giving you a flavour punch which overall complimented the yummy dish.
