Yao Japanese Rice House was opened in July 2020, they specialise in preparing Japanese omu rice - drawing inspiration from authentic Japanese cuisine. Their recommendation would be the Japanese Curry and Chicken Cutlet as well as the Salmon with Wasabi Mayo Don.

I was pleased to have a big warm meal freshly prepared, the portions are large so its best to share it among 2 people, my favourite was the Salmon with Wasabi Mayo Don as the rice was coated perfectly in a garlicky fried rice coating which made each bite tasty, the salmon was of quality and paired well. The breading of the Japanese Curry and Chicken Cutlet was crispy and airy, with fatty tasty bites of tender chicken. What was pretty was the omelet, which is made on high heat and quickly taken off before fully cooked - it created a silky smooth pattern which was equally tasty as it looked.
