Tanjong Rhu Wanton Noodle has been in the hawker scene for decades and as its name indicates, they used to be at Tanjong Rhu before relocating.

They now also have several other branches across the island.

The stall here only serves the lunch and breakfast crowd and they close early, so do take this in mind to avoid disappointment.

Menu-wise, it is very simple. They just serve wanton mee in soup or dry form and on the side, they also sell wanton soup or fried wantons. You can also choose the type of noodles you like and there are options like mee pok, you mian and kway teow.

I was really lucky — I got the last bowl just before they closed! This was around 1pm in the afternoon. I waited about 10 minutes for my food as there were two more orders in front of me.

Apart from their dry wanton noodles, I also got a side of their fried dumplings for that extra crunch.

The noodles had a good springy bite and the bowl was loaded with ingredients like soupy wontons, fried wontons, char siew and vegetables. For a one person portion, this was very substantial and I wasn't left feeling hungry.
