Signature
Run by a friendly couple who opened shop in 2002, and it being the 17th year of business - it boasts a long queue as early as 10am, and selling out by 2pm! Popular dish is the wanton noodles. Ordered were the wonton noodles, which would leave you pleasantly surprised, the first thought that came to mind was that this stall is serving up restaurant quality cuisine! You are spoilt for choice as an array of condiments were offered once the noodles are ready, ranging from crunchy pork lard chips, fried shallots and freshly chopped coriander for garnish. First impression of the dish was overall very satisfying. A generous portion of wholesome kai lan was served, along with thick juicy cuts of char siew meat with comforting soup dumplings. The noodles had a chewy bite to them - making it the perfect texture to compliment the whole dish, along with the fresh aromatic soup broth with chopped coriander sprinkled on top. Honestly the best wanton noodles I’ve tried in a local food court. The whole dish rang up to $3.50 - which is astonishingly affordable given how popular and delicious the food is! It makes it on my top 20 list of food stalls to try around Singapore.
