Cheng Mun Kee actually comes from the same family as another stall shop in Singapore, Authentic Mun Chee Kee. Both specialise in the same thing — pigs organ soup. The shop is located near the outskirts of Little India and one appealing factor is that they remain open till the wee hours of the morning, making it an ideal place for supper. The shop space is quite squeezy but there are seats at the edges near the street so more people can be seated. While they specialise in pigs organ soup, they have a variety of other Chinese dishes to pair with your pigs organ soup like minced meat and xiao bai cai

Pig's Organ Soup with rice

I ordered a standard bowl of their Signature Pig Organ Soup ($4.20) which contains ingredients like pisg liver, intestines, stomach, kidney, meatballs, tofu and vegetables doused in an invigoratingly peppery soup. I’m admittedly not a huge fan of pigs organs in any form but I thoroughly enjoyed the food here. The innards were well clean and did not have a distasteful smell which is what usually puts me off. I also loved the soup which was very soothing, especially since I had it on a cold rainy day. I also got a side of Steam Minced Meat with Chestnut ($2) to pair with my soup and it was really nice and tender. The place was pretty crowded and it was hard to find a seat but I think it was worth it and can foresee myself coming back here again!
