Established in 1939, it is a long-standing store with over 80 years of history. Currently, it is managed by the 4th-generation owners who are a married couple. The white building with the red words "東亜" (East Asia) that appears along Keong Saik Road from Outram Park station is a very famous spot in the area that all locals know about. If you continue straight from there, you'll see the shop on the left. This coffee shop moved in the vicinity in 2013, and is widely covered
in both local and foreign media. The menu for lunch and dinner are all delicious so don’t be too focused on just getting the kaya toast, we recommend you to try the other dishes too!

Signature

Coffee Ribs, Combo A + Beverage, Fragrant Bean Curd, Fragrant Chicken

I love kaya toast, so I've had it at a lot of different stores. But I have to say, this one is on another level. It's no wonder they have such a long history.
The famous crispy kaya toast was so crisp and light! The homemade kaya jam wasn't a paste and tasted more like a grated coconut jam with a smooth texture. I've never had anything like this ever before, and the jam was so light and soft that I could eat it as it is without the toasts. Apparently, they stew the jam for 10 hours. The sweetness isn't too strong, and it matches really well with the saltiness of the butter.
I also enjoyed the Kopi and Teh that the owners have carefully selected. The aroma and depth were both amazing. The beans are chosen by considering the season and the owners blend it before leaving it to age in the perfect temperature until it reaches its perfect state! The owners who are a married couple are lovely too, and I understand why this shop is loved by everyone. Not only were the kaya toast and drinks amazing, but the food was also wonderful. The Coffee Pork Rib in particular was delicious!
