This well-known store famous for its Soya Sauce Chicken Rice is located in Chinatown.
Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle is the first hawker stall in the world to be awarded one Michelin star in 2016, and has been consistently recognised by the Michelin Guide for 4 years in a row until 2019. Known as "the World's Cheapest One Michelin Star" by the media, this store catapulted to fame overnight.
A new entry on Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand 2021 list.
Besides the most well-known Soya Sauce Chicken, other menu items include Char Siu, Roasted Pork, Pork Ribs, etc.
Choose Rice, thin Yellow Noodles or Hor Fun to go with these items. Side menu includes stir-fried vegetables, tofu dishes, soups and more.
Air-conditioned, yet affordable!

I ate here for lunch. The store was cooling♪ I ordered the Soya Sauce Chicken Rice, Char Siu Noodles, Seasonal Stir-fried Vegetables and Apple Tofu.
The Soya Sauce Chicken was served bone-in, the meat was tender and juicy ♪ Rice was drizzled in a soy-based sauce, which complemented the rice so well that I couldn't stop eating. Also came with sliced cucumbers stir-fried with peanuts on the side.
The tender Char-Siu had a hint of sweetness, absolutely delectable. The noodles were well-coated with the sauce.
The portions on each plate were not that filling, so if you visit this store with a friend or two, do order some side dishes to go with the main course.
I enjoyed the tofu, which was crispy on the outside with Thai-inspired seasoning. For those who'd like to have some vegetable intake, I recommend the Seasonal Stir-fried Vegetables.
Reasonably priced yet delicious, I'll definitely pay this store a visit again!
