The stall was first started 5 years ago by a Thai owner who wanted to let Singaporeans have a taste of authentic Thai boat noodles in Singapore. Later on, the business was sold to a Singaporean who now manages and owns the brand. Still, they continue to push out wholesome bowls of boat noodles that are reminiscent of what you can get in Thailand itself.
Since we have not been able to travel due to the pandemic, I’ve sorely missed the food in Thailand. Boat noodles are one of my absolute favourite Thai dishes and the rendition here at Boat Noodle Express truly brings back plenty of good memories. There are both tasting sized bowls and full sized bowls to choose from so you can pick whichever suits your preference more. A must-try is their Beef Special Soup which comes with noodles of your choice, chunky beef balls, juicy beef slices and vegetables which are all doused in a rich, aromatic and slightly tart soup. You can choose the spice level of your boat noodles and even though I opted for less spicy, it was still a little overwhelming for me so do take note if you have a weak spice tolerance! I also really loved the beef balls as they did not have a rubbery texture and were surprisingly tender and easy to chew. Definitely one of the more legitimate boat noodles around Singapore!
