Symmetry feels more like a high-end cafe or a more casual-esque dining restaurant with a bar and outdoor dining area to boot. The eatery serves up contemporary Australian creations as well as classic dishes with a slight twist to jazz up their offerings. The place is usually crowded over the weekends for their brunch menu draws in the crowd.

The interior of Symmetry feels like a step into a tavern, a general dimly-lit area with wooden furnitures and a bar for those looking for an alcoholic beverage. The service here has got to be one of the best I’ve had, with waiters welcoming you and checking in from time to time on your dining experience.

Price-wise, it is definitely more expensive than your average cafe to get your pancakes or big breakfast fix. However, I have to say that the quality of food here is fantastic and worth the price.

I had the Prawn and Clam Aglio Olio ($26) which comprises of linguine, generous amounts of de-shelled prawns, clams and pancetta bits, with shaved parmesan. While I felt a pinch in my wallet, I thought the quality of food selections here were of a higher grade and rather worth the price if you are looking for a delicious fancy meal.

The dish had a strong seafood taste, with little creamy gravy that gently coats the pasta noodles. The shaved parmesan melts when it’s stirred, leaving a nice cheesy undertone in each bite. The prawns were so fresh and chewy, I throughly enjoyed my food.

I went in a little before the peak dinner hours, so I didn’t have to wait long for my turn. The friendly waiters and waitresses greeted me the moment I was heading towards the restaurant. Unfortunately, the seat I was sitting at was affected by the droplets from the spoilt aircon (I’m assuming it’s fixed at point of writing), but the waiters immediately offered another spot in the restaurant and apologised profusely when I informed them about the incident.

Portion-wise, I thought it was just right for one hungry being - and with the fresh ingredients in the bowl, albeit pricey - I thought it was a delightful meal overall.
