Since 1949, this family-run restaurant that is located at Chinatown has been serving Singaporeans authentic plates of soya sauce chicken, and they are one of the first few places in Singapore to serve this dish. The chicken here is prepared using a special recipe that has been passed down the generations, and it’s made from a secret blend of 11 herbs, spices and soya sauce. The chicken has been prepared the exact same way for years and you are assured of consistently tender and delicious food every time you visit. You can also pair your chicken with either rice, hor fun or egg noodles to complete your meal.

Signature

Soya Sauce Drumstick

I ordered the Soya Sauce Chicken Egg Noodles which came with tender slices of chicken and crunchy vegetables atop a bed of yellow noodles. The chicken was marinated in a robust, rich and subtly sweet sauce which really enhanced the flavours of the juicy chicken. I also really liked the noodles which were springy and chewy with a good bite. These also soaked up all the braising sauce so it was packed full of flavour. One of the better soya sauce chickens I’ve had to date in Singapore and I personally feel that it’s very similar to what you can get in Hong Kong itself.
