Pig’s Organ Soup is one comforting and satisfying bowl of soup with lots of ingredients such as pork slices, intestines, pig’s stomach, liver, tofu, preserved vegetables, etc. The ‘Mun Chee Kee’ brand started in the 1970s and hoping to carry on the legacy are Mr David and Derek Tan who uses the original recipe used by Uncle Mun Chee himself.

As a standalone shop along the main road, they serve a wide variety of dishes to go with their signature soup. The place is clean, and food is served rather quickly, but the smell of herbs and offals can be rather overwhelming and a tad displeasing to some. However, it doesn’t stop the crowds from having their soups as this outlet is usually packed at night!

Pig's Organ Soup

I ordered their signature Pig’s Organ Soup and it was served to me almost immediately. The warm and comforting bowl of soup is enough for one person to eat my fill, thanks to the generous amount of ingredients in it. The clear soup has a very robust flavour and had just the right amount of saltiness that I love.

Of all the ingredients in it, the lean meat was probably one of the best I’d had. It was soft, chewy and tender and goes really well with the chilli provided. The innards such as the liver and stomach were pleasant to the taste.
