Fei Fei Wanton Mee is quite the talked-about stall when it comes to a bowl of wanton noodles. The grandfather started the stall many years ago and handed it over to his two grandsons who opened separate stalls thereafter - one being this shop in Joo Chiat. The noodles are handmade, making it one of the few stalls in Singapore to keep to this traditional way of making this plate of hearty meal.

Because of their long operating hours, Fei Fei Wanton Mee is a popular night spot for those looking for a supper in the East. Even if you are not in the mood for wanton noodles, there are other food options to choose from such as Dumpling Soup, Prawn Roll and Fried Chicken.

Finding the place wasn’t as easy because it is quite a distance away from the train station, but it seems like it didn’t stop customers from travelling to the area for it was crowded just a little before the lunch period. I ordered the signature dried Wanton Noodles with chilli and wasn’t disappointed.

The texture of the noodles was chewy, but a little firmer than I would like it. The char siew was good - not great - as some reviews mentioned, but their wontons were definitely delicious. The chilli sauce added a nice flavour to the overall taste - spicy but worth it.
