A popular eatery for CBD workers; this noodle stall is run by Madam Leong - who has been running the business for over 62 years, at the ripe age of 90; she wakes up at 4am every morning to head to the market to buy fresh ingredients, then to the stall to deliver and direct the staff.

The classic wanton mee came up to $5, which I found a little over average prices. Springy yellow noodles, char siew slices, blanched veggies and a bowl of warming wanton broth. My favourite part of the dish was simply the noodles - which looked unassuming - however, they were coated generously in a light yet flavourful sauce. The sauce consisted of sesame oil, vegetable oil, and a dash of salt and pepper, which was surprisingly not too oily at all to taste. I found the char siew slices to be a bit too dry - however, it had a slight sweet taste accompanied with the simple blanched veggies. I found that the wanton mee could of had accompanying sauces such as soy sauce to help bind the flavours of the dish more together. The bowl of broth had a generous filling of 3 meaty wanton soup dumplings. Overall, this place makes a decently tasty lunch stop.
