Singapore has an interesting twist to your common cake - get your hands on some locally loved delights and unique flavours such as pandan cake - which has a quirky green tint and a lovely fragrant coconut aroma. A cult favourite would be the Hong Kong-styled egg tart! Which is considered a 'dim sum' locally as well. The tart has an even and bright yellow custard filling with either a delicious crumbly or dense crust. Another interesting fusion would be the pancake - which you can find slathered with a crumbly peanut filling then folded in half in hawker centres!
